Locomotion is Astra's latest pioneering multiplayer offering for the UK market. 
Game concept and presentation brings the traditional multiplayer into the next generation. Two different features are triggered randomly from either a winning or losing game

The machine incorporates a dual stake option (25p or 50p), and also features a LCD screen above each slave for the feature.  The real difference though between this and all other multiplayer games is that more than one player can play the top feature simultaneously.                                                                       
                                                                                   
The base game is played on reels and follows the successful Party Time concept, with holds and nudges. The feature may be triggered randomly after a win, and takes place on the screens above each base game.  A train moves across all 3 screens and stops with a carriage directly above each machine.  One or more carriages will turn into a feature carriage

The winning carriages will open to show a set of reels that spin and award a series of wins to the player.  The streak ends on a losing spin.  When the winning carriages have finished, the game will return to the base reels.                                                                       
                                                                                   
Every time the train comes along at least one player will be awarded the feature, and it is possible for all three players to enter the feature together.  To be eligible to play the feature the machine must be in play.  During play a silver or gold ticket will be shown on the screen above the base game. The ticket will time out and disappear from the screen if a new game isn't initiated.                                                            

25p play gives the player a SILVER ticket when the machine is in use; 50p buys the player a GOLD ticket. The GOLD ticket returns higher feature awards than the SILVER ticket.  The awards for the feature are shown on each screen.  Someone whose ticket has timed out cannot trigger the feature. The game must be played regularly to keep the ticket active.  If it is active when the train comes along, that base game is eligible for the chance to play the feature.

Randomly after a losing game a mini-feature can be triggered.  A mine train will move into view and stop with a mine cart above each slave.  Each slave with an active ticket will be guaranteed a cash prize.  The carts will tip over and spill out coins and pay a mystery prize up to £35 to each eligible player.  The train will then move away off the screen.
